Millions of years ago the human race supposedly evolved from an ape-like creature. But was there more? Did other animals change as well? Like the wolf, horse, tiger, and many other creatures we would never even think of. Did these beasts transform into monsters more deadly and mysterious than humans? And the most important question of all: do these creatures still exist to this day?
We don’t live in the world we think we do.
Werewolves and other such animals and monsters from legends and fairytales aren’t so mythological anymore. They are all around us, living among us and are in our everyday lives; and we don’t even know it. Sometimes they are disguised as everyday house pets; other times they are the beasts that dwell within the forest surrounding your home. Imagine if your cat was the nice kid you sit next to in one of your classes. Or if one of the stray dogs down the street was one of the jocks. You never know. For centuries these fabled creatures have kept themselves unknown from humans, and it has been easy in the past. But the human race is changing. They are becoming stronger and more courageous; hunting, poaching, and other like sports becoming more common. Very few humans have ever witnessed the transformation from animal to humanoid, however; and the ones who have usually don’t live long enough afterwards to tell the tale. The mystical creatures have been threatened more and more these past few decades, and the humans have unknowingly sent all of them to extinction. Except for two: the shape-shifters and the dziwne jeden. They are the only known mythological species still existing today. And their time is running out. The shape-shifters and the dziwne jeden are not allies by any means, but this drive to extermination has forced them to unite. Killing the humans has been a forbidden law among the beats since the beginning of time; but times have changed, and change tends to alter one’s outlook on the world. Most of the murders you see in the local newspaper are an example of such. There is only one important question left remaining:
Which species will survive, legend or human?
