If not months then it had to be many terrible wWeaks of walking thrugh out the vast land we call our earth. Muscles ached and bones seemed to crack with every step he took. The Loner wasn't so much of a Loner as he was a pioneer to these lands, walking in search of new possibilities, and perhaps even a new home to stay. But the Loner sort of knew that a new home would not be as simple as it seemed, before you can end a story you need to begin one, and sometimes the begining is never as easy as the end.
Mid day sun beat down on the Catahoula Cur's pelt hard, though the light shades of tan white and gray spots reflected the heat, so the warmth of day wasn't the problem, it was walking for days on end, trying to find a shelter to stay for a while, and then Xeron would be off into the world once more. His tan gray spotted paws hit the glossy fields with small stumbles each time, it hurt to him to simply walk, but determination to find shelter kept made the spotted male moving foreward. His misty blue eyes looked around, almost daring some old brute to attack him, but deep down he knew at the moment, a fight would not be bright right now. Then he spotted it. A farm....A farm house! Well....Why not? It looked abandoned from where the spotted Loner was standing. Even if it wasn't no humans would mind if he rested his paws for a day or two. Whiskers trembling trying to catch the scent of another dog, Xeron figured that no one was around and he forced his slender legs into a graceful trot. The closser he got through the feilds and to the the sooner Xeron got a little edgy. The place looked a little beat up, and to the dog it could collapse at any moment. "Who am I kidding?" Xeron chuckled to himself "I'm already here, and besides its just a shelter."
