Mythology
When the world was created, the god Prometheus floated in darkness, dreaming and planning what would be. At a thought, he brought forth from the palms of his hands a pair of siblings: Warvin of the sun and his sister, Luris of the moon. They gave light to the darkness, providing Prometheus with a way to see the workings of his hands. In doing so, they circled him continuously, causing night and day. Prometheus vanished, forming into the planet Destin. Warvin and Luris followed their father by turning as well into spheres, still emitting their light. From the surface of each another deity emerged.
From Luris formed Irma, the goddess of the waters and winds who was as changing as she was beautiful. From Warvin formed Tuhrn, the god of fire and earth who was both creative and destructive. Tuhrn then married his cousin, Irma, who then bore him four children. They became rulers of the functions of mortals.
To hold the law, was the red-furred goddess of Araera of justice and honesty. She decided what was crime. Her brother, Mothran had destroyed one of their great-grandfather, Prometheus’s, beautiful forests before it was its time. Araera sentenced him to live in the deepest pits of the world as the god of death and war. Ralis, Mothran’s brother, lost his mind at his brother’s exile and became the god of insanity and prejudice, corrupting the minds of weaker mortals. Mira, the fourth child, grew to be the goddess of love and fertility, wishing to bless the mortals with prosperity and happiness.
Seduced by her beauty, Mothran escaped his great-grandfather’s clutches for an entire day in which he raped Mira, causing her to be pregnant. Araera grabbed him and threw him back into the hell Prometheus gave him. The child Mira bore was a daughter, named Selctra. She followed in her father’s footsteps, but roamed the surface of Destin as the goddess of sin and desire. She wanted to help corrupt to mortals and bring their souls to her father.
Humans on Destin eventually fell away from their gods and Prometheus cursed them to be without language and technology so that they could only live in primitive, tiny villages, struggling to stay alive. The wolves revered the gods and were gifted with many things. Some wolves were given extreme genetic variety to make them a more beautiful race. Some were given the gift of literacy, able to read and write in the dust or claw words onto rock. Some were even given the gift of wings like a bird or a bat and the ability to fly for a moderate distance.
Before the humans were cursed, the gods gave honor to the wolves by taking their form when they came to the planet surface and forced the humans to carve statues in the image of the gods for the wolves to pray to with detailed inscriptions of the gods. Once the curse was complete, the wolves had become the most successful race on the planet and populated much of the world except for the nameless north.
