no. not every dog.
every pet.
A quick and dirty summary? The zoo has been around for a long, long time. In its hay day it was a paradise for dogs. Of course anything enjoyed by someone other than homo sapiens must be taken from them, and thus it was once raided and flushed of its inhabitants.
But they're back.
The haven is slowly rebuilding itself. New packlands have been established, and those who call themselves rogue's have new locations to rest their heads.

established in february of 2004, misty moments zoo is the original* zoo based stray canine rpg. it was founded by paige, but soon after was passed down through ownership until it reached its current owner, jess, in july of 2004. since then she has had help from kat, punkhorse, shaddie, shane, and kash. not to mention the undyingly loyal players - without them, misty moments zoo would not be possible.
*in october of 2008, a small group of players chose to leave misty moments zoo, taking the basis of mmz with them and starting a new zoo based stray canine rpg, called 'danger! condemned zoo.'
