Sebastien`` we're going into the unknown...
dust flew up from the ground as tan paws zigzagged their way across the floor, the blue merle body following. At only five months, he was an odd sight to see, not just because his clashing colours of fur. Surely such a young dog would have a mother by his side? He would, if fate hadn't taken his dear mother away. He had no one to warn him of the dangers that were within the boundaries of this ghost town. He was blissfully unaware of the vibes this place gave. The puppy threw his head back, a high-pitched howl escaping him. "I've been travelling on this road too long, just trying to find my way back home, the old me- hey!" the excited lyrics that rolled off his tongue were cut off by another squeal escaping his jaws as his hazel eyes caught a glimpse of a shadow flitting across a building in front of him. He raced forward, paws slapping the ground clumsily. "Hey- wait for me! I don't bite!" In seconds, the pup had crossed the dusty floor and entered into the dark space.
in moments he was engulfed by the dark as the barn doors behind him closed, cutting off the light sourc. a wave of fear rolled off the mongrel as he stared around with dilated pupils. He was in what appeared to be a barn, hay scattered across the ground, the scent stinging his nostrils. The shadows hung over him like a black cloud, refusing him his sight. Trembling, he took a few steps forward. "Hey, uh, thing? My name's Sebastien... Please come outside? I don't like the dark..." He whimpered into the air, hoping the thing he'd been following would listen. Soft rustling came from the left, startling Sebastien, causing him to dart into one of the stalls, burying himself under the hay. Movement came from across the barn, and very faint breathing. Sebastien sneeked a peek from his hiding place, and he saw a tall thing advancing on him on two legs. What... what is that? his baffled thoughts echoed in his head as the figure continued to approach. The odd puppy lifted himself, a loud bark escaping him, throwing his head back as he did. He attempted in making it fierce, but sounded disappointingly pathetic.
when the human didn't back off instantly, he continued with a series of barks, each pitch different, controlled by his panic. Now he was in the stall, there was nowhere to run. The creature tried to coax him out with soft clicking noises, extending an arm, but Sebastiens fear rocketed, bouncing back against the backwall as if his weight could force it through. The human suddenly propelled itself forward, seizing Sebastien by the scruff of his neck. Pain coursed through his body as he writhed in a futile attempt to escape. The nails of the human dug into his skin, a cruel bout of laughter passing through its lips. Hazel eyes squeezed shut, trying to prepare himself for what he thought was the end, but he couldn't do it, he just wasn't ready to die.

Rex " Won't go without my fix tonight It's a little too rough Prom girl wipes her tears with silver lines And she can`t get enough " Paws hit the floor in a rthymic beat, like that of a drum. His light optics glared into the darkness of the open barn with suspicion. He paced the greenery, leaves brushed his light golden fur as he moved, a gentle caress as he walked in thought. He showed no emotion, but he were a good actor, inside, turmoil battled. He knew something was hiding in the doors, something that wasn't meant to be, this was Mafia territory, and though he was not lead of the pack, he damn well didn't care. For this dog was a strange creature, bold and brave. He was not unfair, but he were like a bouner, strong, fierce and threatening, one with patience that would last a fair while, but when it was gone, would cause much pain.
Muscles rippled finely tuned beneath the soft, fine coat. He was wondering whether he should face the creature and demand it's respect, or wait for it to show itself. However, the reasons for the second thought were getting thin, and slowly, Rex edged closer. Each pace brought him within distance of the barn doors, standing open and wide. He smiled a wide, cunning smile as he thought of bloodlust and a fight, however, as he heard sudden light pounding of paws, he changed direction, moving back toward the plants and watching with interest. It was not that he was afraid, just that he wished to know if this approaching other had something to do with the thing inside the barn.
A puppy emerged, and Rex cocked his crania in slightly confusion, waiting for a mother or father to appear, but none did. Odd, however, not his concern. He listened to the puppys song and smiled lightly, amusment burning in his optics as he watched the animals progess. However, the smile faded to a frown as he watched the other pause, before running into the barn. Uh, oh, danger! Now, Rex was not a sentimental stud, but he did not believe in innocent blood spilling. This world was a world for adults, killers, not for puppys. He rolled his vivid green optics and bounded forward in a smooth lope, headed for the barn doors. They had shut, and Rex knew the puppy was in for trouble.
Anxious suddenly, he reached up and pulled at the doors, catching his powerful paws in a crack in the heavy doors, and pulling them, making a gap wide enough to slip through while stayign fairley unnoticed. His optics watched as the pppy ran, and he saw a shape move not to far off. A human. Oh, such anger rolled through him, evident in the standing fur, the tense stance. Haunches bunched and he bounced forward, a terrible growl ripped through his maw as he sprang at the human, paws pushe at it's shoulder, watching it fall back. The hand released the puppy, but he saw not where the small dog dissapeared to. His strong claws raked the humans chest, blood spouting from the rakes across its chest. He knew not whether the being was a woman or man, and he did not care. Intesne fury corsed through him as he looked down on the pathetic creature once more, before opening his jaws and gouging at its face, powerful daggers ripped through flesh and bone, blood poured through, staining his gleaming teeth with hot red blood. He pushed himself from the creature with disgust and saunted forwards. One moment of tense worry, before knowing the barn was now empty but for himself and the puppy, before turning to escape back to the wild....

Sebastien`` we're going into the unknown...
the grip tightened more so around his scruff, but in his fear he couldn't barely whimper. Please end it quickly, please end it quickly... his thoughts begged. He was brought even higher into the air, and he could feel the muscles in the human tensing up as if to toss him. But before that could happen, a new sound echoed in the barn, a vicious growl. Sebastien suddenly found himself falling, feeling the rush of air briefly before he smacked into the ground. Whimpers came from him because of his awkward land on his shoulder, laying stunned for a second. Once he gathered his bearings, he got up, ignoring the dull pain on his shoulder and shot into a pile of hay, his tri-coloured fur standing out among the dirty yellow. Small ripples of fear travelled through his body as he heard the gruesome noises of mutilation. Finally, there was silence.
Sebastien risked a peek out of the hay, blinking rapidly to try and adjust his hazel eyes to the darkness. Though the dark was one of his worst fears, right now it didn't bother him as much right now as he faced something worse, that thing. But now, the creature was on the floor, dark stuff that Sebastien couldn't make out was on it, and spreading quickly. His gaze then fell on a male dog, who was pushing himself off the body. It didn't take long for Sebastien to work out that this dog had taken down his attacker. This dog saved his life.
the puppy propelled himself from the hay as the dog turned away to walk away from the scene. He ran past the human without looking at it- the look and smell of blood made him queasy. Sebastien paused in his steps, barking excitedly to get his attention. "Wait! You gotta let me say thank you! You saved my life! You're my hero!" he yelped, his tan paws kneading the ground excitedly and his tail wagging from side to side furiously. "If it weren't for you, I'd be dead! I owe you my life! Well, not like that, I don't want to die, but I'm real grateful! My name's Sebastien, what about you? " He was rambling, repeating himself, but he wasn't bothered by that, he was too happy to control himself. It was hard to believe about five minutes before this oddball was a frightened little puppy crying for his life. Now he was standing with a goofy expression, tongue lolling out of his mouth. If he was any smarter, he might've known that a dog strong enough to kill a human could easily kill him and sleep on it, but all he saw was a hero in his eyes. Rex " Won't go without my fix tonight It's a little too rough Prom girl wipes her tears with silver lines And she can`t get enough " The great Labrador turned as he heard the high-pitched tone of the puppy. He did not smile, as prehaps another would do, at the sight of the cute tan animal bounding forwards, instead, he sighed. He did not care for his story-why was he alone, where was his mother. No, he was ruthless, prehaps too much so. But he was not heart-less, he would not kill the little beast.
He rolled his emeral optics and paused, his torso half twisted as he caught the puppys words and thought. He was not sure what he should answer, certainly not his name, puppys that were untrained were certainly unreliable. Rex was not the type of animal that cared much for puppies, and he doubted this meeting would change him-how wrong he would be...
" No matter, it is nothing to be proud of, i am no hero, it is a murderous thing to do. No go home to your mother. "
The canine begged slightly, he did not wish the puppy to be on his hands, and from the adoring tone the puppy used, he wondered if he'd soon have a second shadow. Muse:: average-low Satus:: finished Comments:: i think Rex will come to love Sebby, he's sooo sweet! I think Rex would make that perfect dad-stern but playfull, teaching the young one all the ropes-how to bark threateningly-how to fight-how to get attention of females [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Sebastien`` we're going into the unknown...
he sat down with a little thump, his tail sweeping across the hay. His hazel eyes glittered as he waited for Rex's reply, surprisingly patient. No matter, it is nothing to be proud of, i am no hero, it is a murderous thing to do. No go home to your mother. At his response, Sebastien thought all the words that he wanted to speak right now would all come out at once, but he managed to contain those it. Just.
"It's okay you killed the creature! It probably killed other things before me. It was evil." He beamed as he spoke, obviously ignorant to the saying 'two wrongs don't make a right'. He didn't understand that death was a lot more complicated, and that dogs don't just go to heaven. "I'd like to do that Goldy, I really would! But if I went home mother won't be there.
" His enthusiastic tone never faltered into a mournful one at his words. Of course it wouldn't. Although he missed his mother dearly, she was in heaven. She was happy, or so he thought, so there was no need for tears. He looked at 'Goldy', something he simply came up with to refer the golden labrador to. His tail remained to sweep back and forth across the hay, never slowing down. " Know any place for a good meal? I'm starved!" He barked his last word with more enthasis, his head tilting to one side. Just because Rex had saved him from the human, he expected that the lab must of had an interest in him, and not just because he didn't want innocent blood spilled. He wasn't swayed easily. That was half the problem with Sebastien. Although he didn't realize it himself, he was desperate for someone to look up to, someone that wouldn't just push him away like he didn't deserve their attention. He wanted the father he never had. [/blockquote] word count ; 335 notes ; lol ^^ Sebastiens pretty much obsessing over Rex now, he's so naive <3

Rex " Won't go without my fix tonight It's a little too rough Prom girl wipes her tears with silver lines And she can`t get enough " Rex chuckled at the animals reply. Of course, it was a dark chuckle, but no less seductive. His voice was always that tone, seductive, it helped to manipulate others when he needed to, and it was a voic he'd learned. His pup was amusing, in a way, but Rex didn't realise how devoted he was untill eh glanced into the puppys optics, only then did he see the depth of the devotion, and he nearly groaned. Oh no! No, he did not need a star struck puppy following him around. Rex sighed and turned fully, he did not know what to say, and he stared with silence into the puppys eyes again, deliberating.
Rex stood thinking. It wouldn't do any harm to show the puppy how to catch a decent meal, surely? But what if this idolized the lab more? He was second in command for the Mafia, he could nto afford baggage. Sighing, he allowed his kinder side to take hold, and he nodded absently, smiling slightly, cocking his crania to one side in a slow, coy grin.
" Alright then, but, you have to catch your own dinner, i'm not gonna do everything for you. I'll show you how to hunt, then you'll be able to do it yourself. Com'on. "
Rex said, resignedly, waiting for the puppy to move before he did, yo see, Rex's limbs wre much more powerful and longer than Sebs, and so, he would have to stay slow for the puppy to keep up. " By the way, my'names Rex." he offered a name, sounding suddenly like the friendlisest guy on earth, oh how wrong that assumption would be.... Muse:: average Satus:: finished Comments:: aww...i think i'm falling for Seb..he' so sweet! lol [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Sebastien`` we're going into the unknown...
Sebastiens tail wagged furiously when Rex chuckled. He thinks I'm funny! he thought brightly. When others laughed, it meant there had to be something funny. As the older dog looked at him, he held his gaze, only difference was that his tail never stopped wagging. Alright then, but, you have to catch your own dinner, i'm not gonna do everything for you. I'll show you how to hunt, then you'll be able to do it yourself. Com'on. With an excited whimper, Sebastien scrambled forward, his ears perked. "I can catch food?! This'll be fun! Thanks a lot!" He yapped as he bounded a few steps ahead of Rex then stopped, looking back at him with glittering hazel eyes.
When Rex offered his name, Sebastien nodded enthusiastically, his small tan paws kneading the ground. "Tha's a nice name, Rex! I'm Sebastien, but you know that already. But did you know I'm a sheprador?" He enthasised his breed, as if it was something very special to be. Really he was just a mongrel, australian shepherd, labrador and cattle dog, but to Sebastien, sheprador sounded like a unique breed.
"Don't worry,
" He added to his speech, " I'll make sure you can keep up." He grinned, not noticing that Rex's legs were longer, stronger, and more importantly, faster. Sebastien could barely contain himself that this dog was going to teach him to hunt. Maybe later he'd ask if he was voted dog of the year. [/blockquote] word count ; 231 notes ; sorry, short post. Rex " Won't go without my fix tonight It's a little too rough Prom girl wipes her tears with silver lines And she can`t get enough " Rex sighed silently as he moved, boy did this puppy talk! Rex allowed the canine to continue in his ramble as they moved, his pace even but slow. Together, the odd couple reached a large pen encased in thick chain-linked fence. Inside roamed about three dozen large, rustic coloured, feathered, flightless birds-chickens. Oh, one of the tastest meats around, and the easiest catch. Rex stopped, peering into the thick fence with interest, already thinking of a stategy.
He wondered how this odd animals survived, with no humans to feed them, and so many predators about. He paused, his optics searched each link, looking for the weakest point. His jaws opened and snaped down over a part of the link, testing it. No hope, the chains were too solid. Frowning, Rex paced the fence, his claws struck now at the ground, attempting to dig. Yet the fence went down into the ground too. How irritating! Rex snorted in annoyance, sitting back on his haunches to annalyse the situation.
His emerald optics glinted as he spotted another idea. His paws ran swiftly toward a large bin, laying on its side, by the hut that was placed inside the fence. He bounded onto the bin, his powerful mucles bunched and he jumped onto the bin, then onto the hut roof. Looking down he glanced at Seb and grinned darkly, his expression serious, amused and hungry.
" Come on up Seb. i'll explain..."

Sebastien`` we're going into the unknown...
Prancing alongside Rex, Sebastien was quite content with babbling non-stop to him, but even he was silenced when the pen came into sight. What a peculiar thing... he thought to himself, his head tipping slightly as he saw movement through the chain-linked fence. He stood still as he watched the male snap his teeth on a certain area of the chain. When he gave up on that, Sebastien continued to observe him as he began to dig. Wha's he doin'? he wondered, but kept quiet for once. As Rex snorted and sat down, the little puppy repeated his moves, throwing his head back as he imitated the snort and fell onto his rump.
Then Rex was off again, with Sebastien bounding after him. He saw the black bin ahead, but he hadn't expected to jump onto it. So when Rex leapt effortlessly onto it and onto the hut roof, the blue merle was baffled. He stood still for a moment, wondering how he was supposed to get onto it, then he decided to copy Rex's technique. He backed off a few steps, inhaling the air heavily through his nose before racing forward, bunching his muscles, where he launched himself at the bin...
He had expected to be where Rex had been on the bin, but instead of that, he smacked head first into it and fell to the ground with a whimper. It didn't take him long to recover, staggerng to his paws, but he had concluded his legs would need to grow a bit more before he pulled a stunt like that. He pushed his paws onto the bin, and after a few moments of scrambling and slipping, he got onto it. Sucess! his mind mentally screamed. Getting onto the hut roof was easier, because it wasn't round like the bin. Finally he was beside Rex, breathing heavily.
"What a cufuffle!" He barked, before his hazel eyes fell down to the chickens. The only type of bird Sebastien was really familiar with was pidgeons, but these were so... big! And what were they doing, just running around? Why didn't they fly out? "Woah, they're like... really big fat pigeons!" His words proved how ignorant he was to detail, because the only similarities the pidgeon and the chicken was really that they were both birds. But he was only young, and he had a lot to learn.

Rex " Won't go without my fix tonight It's a little too rough Prom girl wipes her tears with silver lines And she can`t get enough "
The yellow lab grinned again, showing a set of glistening ivory daggers, sharp and lethal, odd how many times they had been stained by hot scarlett blood, yet never showed it now. It helped with the whole 'i'm a good guy' image that his labrador shape showed. Rex watched Seb with much amusment, he knew that it would've been a struggle for the smaller animal, yet he was not going to spoon feed him everything, he needed to learn how to do things himself, not have it ll done for them. It was odd really, for Rex was such a harsh, dark soul, yet here he wa,s helping another canine, sure, it were a younger one, but Rex never showed mercy, yet suddenly he were.
Sudden thought popped into Rex's mind, an almost protective snarl, and it were protecting Seb. That part of his mind, the only kind part of him, which still often begged for an opponants death, growled. Here was a chance to raise his own, one to follow in his footsteps, become a partner to Rex and the Mafia, and if Rex was successful, Seb could be a great help to the pack. He was sure that the puppy would follow him to hells end if possible, so he'd be sure happy to become like him. It would, of course, mean teaching the young canine to let go of his happiness and his honesty, and learn how to kill, to take down another without regret, to forget the feeling of guilt, to learn to lie properly, to learn how to spy on other packs and gain useful information and to be faithful to his pack and the members of the pack. Rex's grin now darkened, oh this was perfect. Seb would never know that he were being raised to be like him, he would love it anyhow, and becuase he were so young, Seb would never grow a full concious, never grow to question Rex and his ways. And heck, Rex may even come to love the puppy! Rex shook his crania at that sudden thought, he doubted it highly, but could not dispell the tought entirely. Here was another creature he could finnally learn to trust, becuase Seb would grow to be just like him, to be the best friend he never had...
When Seb was beside him, Rex looked down, his emerald optics closed sightly.. He would start by training to canine subtly, this animal did not need his childhood taken away, but he needed to grow up a little. And it would be easy to start teaching him seemingly simple things like 'how to catch foo' and 'how to stalk prey' and 'the art of being silent' and such. Now, Rex sighed lightly and looked down on the large birds once more, liking his lips hungrily. It was time for the first lesson of the day. Feeding. This would be difficult for the puppy, becuase he were still small, not maybe ready to chase food well, but well enough. Rex glanced amung the chickens, targeting one that he would follow until it met it's death.
" These are Chickens, and they're very different from other birds. They cannot fly, which is a help to us, they lay eggs for humans, and they are a terribly tastey meal. They are not the fastest prey, but for your little legs, it still may be a challenge. Now, the first step is to pick your chicken. Follow it with your eyes at all costs, never let it go. Somehow, we'll trap their exit into the pen house, that means they'll be stuck outside, even easier. So, pick your chicken and memorise it, then we'll jump down and block the door. Are you ready? "
Muse:: high ish Satus:: finished Comments:: ooo Rex has plans for this little guy. Prehaps, when this thread dies, we should put a thread up at the mafia to introudce him to the other members or something, or do you not want him to be a mafia? *shurgs and grins*
