Oblivion On a mountain he sits Not of gold but of sin Through the blood he can look See the life that he took From the council of one He'll decide what he's done With the innocent... As the enormous blue brute made his way casually across the earth, his ebony optics flickered from side to side, searching the land before him. Unusual human contraptions lay discarded and dead to the world as they sat rotting and decaying amongst the overgrowing ground. So many times Oblivion had seen these odd beasts cruising through the bright sky, moving faster than any dog was capable of. They appeared to be invincible, impossible to destroy or damage, yet... here they lay. Seeming as vulnerable and delicate as any living creature that walked this planet. A slight flash in his memory caused the great dane to remember that these monsters were made of metal, which now appeared to be turning a foul orange colour as each day passed. Stopping for a moment to vigorously shake out his short, dark pelt, the huge brute began to move again as his gait increased from a walk to a leisurely gallop. Covering quite a distance in a short time, the great dane lolloped along, ears and cheeks flapping slightly in time with his movements, his tongue hanging out between a set of glistening canines and his paws lazy and floppy as they hit the earth. One would think this big dog could be clumsy and loveable if they were to see him now. How wrong they would be.
A pair of ebony optics blinked rapidly as small dust and grit particles being thrown up by the brutes strides left a thin coating on them. The seemingly cheerful dog was so different inside. His dark eyes held so many secrets, never to be revealed. Many little hairs that gave the creature his stunning colour had once been stained and removed. Most interestingly, his mind was a mass of dark thoughts, pain, sorrow, frustration, hatred, bloodlust and so much more. His heart was empty and sore, the damned thing hardly seemed to beat at times. Yet his exterior seemed to show all this, despite his calm appearance.
As Oblivion slowed to a gentle walk, he realised he had come close to one of the human birds that sat in the ground. Lifting his panting tongue back into the depths of his mouth, the brute placed one huge paw after the other and began to travel up one of the featherless wings. The dead creature let out whines, groans and creaks as the great danes heavy body caused it to shift slightly. Unaffected by this, he continued until he had reached the body. With a quick hop he leapt up the several metre gap onto the roof of the beast. Closing his dark optics, the brute relaxed slightly as a cool breeze rustled over him, causing his ears to flap slightly and his short coat to glimmer in the sunlight.

And I wonder if you know, How it really feels, To be left outside alone.
[/i][/size]
Even though Chardonnay was twice the size of a Red Fox she acted more like that side of her heritage then her german shepard side. Her body was low, her stomach almost sliding across the ground as she darted quickly like that of a field mouse. Her ears were always moving, her eyes always looking, and everytime she thought she heard something she froze like ice before darting off like lightning. This time it had just been a pigeon which unfortunately had flown away. Shaking her canine head she pressed on and soon came infront of a huge hanger. She had been around here before. It was a pretty good place to come rat hunting and Char often came here for food. A smile spread across her lips as she found the door was still open from her last visit. If it wasn't open she would have to climb and jump through the broken window which was always such hard work and not something she enjoyed.
Putting her nose to the steel floor she began sniffing along the edges of the inside of the hanger. The rats should be here somewhere. Chardonnay's tail was more like her german shepard mother's tail in the shape, and although it didn't have the white tip it still had the rich ginger colour all the way down it. She didn't have the black legs either which was unusual since she had the fox colouring. Then again her crossing was unusual too. Spotting a rat her big fox ears pricked up and within seconds she had bolted down the length of the hanger. The mouse was within her jaws, her sharp teeth tearing away at it before eventually she swallowed the thing down. Licking her lips she finally let her bottom settle on the cold concrete floor before she realised something else was in here. She smelt the air and then her worst fear was confirmed - there was a dog in here.
Her feminine head darted around until she saw the huge monster sat on top of the plane. Not good. Very bad. Very very bad. Suddenly her tiny paws began working and she bolted down the hanger. She wouldn't have time to get to the door and out. She would have to hide in that hole in the wall. The hole didn't lead out but was more of a natural made 'cupboard' she could hide in. Hopefully the big dog hadn't seen her yet. With her tail between her legs she crawled into the shallow hole. Moving right into the furthest corner before curling up and facing the way she had come. The hole was so small that Chardonnay could only just fit into it. In a couple of years she probably wouldn't fit - that is if she hadn't stopped growing already. Char did hope she had stopped growing by now. She didn't want to be any bigger. Any bigger and she wouldn't be able to hide as well as she did.

Oblivion On a mountain he sits Not of gold but of sin Through the blood he can look See the life that he took From the council of one He'll decide what he's done With the innocent... As the dark brute stood on the roof of the plane, the wind blowing through his short fur and his dark optics held shut, he finally felt a sense of peace. Something he had not felt for quite some time. His enormous ears suddenly caught an almost inaudible sound. With his head still held high, the great dane opened one dark optic and let it search for the source of the noise. The ebony eye fell upon an average sized creature, red-ish in colour, the size of a german shepherd but the build of a fox. What an odd creature... Oblivion muttered in his mind. He watched it scuttle along the cement, chasing a rat or something. After the quick successful hunt, the animal sat down and sniffed the air. Immediatly Oblivion knew it would catch his scent, so he closed his eye again and stood still as though made of stone on the roof of the plane.
After a moment, he opened one black optic again and saw a flash of red disappear into the wall. A smirk slid onto his maw as the creature hid from him, not very well if he was brutally honest. Finally, rolling his muscular shoulders, the brute hopped back onto the wing of the plane. The metal contraption creaked and groaned as he moved across it before bounding onto the cold cement. In a matter of seconds, the great dane had sauntered across the cool floor and lowered his head, scenting out the creature. By the smell, it appeared to be a female. Eventually he found her hiding place and shoved his black nose into it, sniffing the female as she lay curled up within. Pulling his head out, his strong deep voice seemed to boom around the huge metal room as he spoke to her.
"There's no use in hiding. Infact, there's no need to hide." His voice was mocking and had an edge to it, one that could be a mixture of emotions. "I doubt you'll be any safer in there than you would be out here. What's your name?" Oblivion took a step back as he waited for the smaller creature to respond.

And I wonder if you know, How it really feels, To be left outside alone.
[/i][/size]
A loud squeak or squeal sort of sound left her lips as a great big nose came into her hole. Immediately she began squishing her body up against the hole wall trying her best to keep away from the other dog. He was so big. At least three times her size, and that terrified her. Actually almost everything terrified her, but his size was definately a big deal to her right now. Any other animal probably would have scratched, bitten, or growled at him by now. Chardonnay didn't even have it in her to do one of those let alone all three. All she could do was let out that wierd high pitched and vunerable squeak/squealish sort of noise. What was this dog doing here? She hadn't seen him before. Why did he want her name? This was bad. Really really bad. Her mum would have scared the brute off by now if she was still alive. She was all alone now though and cowering in a hole being eyed up by god knows what that creature outside was.
"W-w-what d-d-do -y-y-you n-n-need m-m-my n-n-name f-f-for?"[/i] She couldn't help but stammer. Char really didn't like this one bit. There had to be a weak spot in this hole she could claw at and create an escape route. Just as she began to look silence blanketed the building. She could still smell him but that could be because he was just here. Maybe he was gone? She couldn't see him either from where she laid. Swallowing deeply she tentatively crawled forward squeezing her smaller body out. With her stomach pressed against the ground along with her tail as she glanced around. Then she saw the big monster right infront of her. She let out the same high pitched squeal and spun round darting back inside her hole. He was so much bigger then her. He could do whatever he wanted with her and she wouldn't be able to fight back that is if she even got a desire to fight back. Char instantly began shuddering again back in her hole. Deep down she knew the dog outside could easily drag her out with his teeth if he got the desire to do so. "C-c-chardonnay."[/i] She didn't know exactly why she told him her name but maybe if she gave him what he wanted she wouldn't get hurt? That was Char's logic anyway. Maybe if she behaved she would stay intact. After all, Char had heard of the evil dogs around here. Those that loved violence and torture. The Mafia dogs. They were the most terrifying. She had seen one once although he hadn't seen her. A big rottweiler akita cross thing. He had torn this other dog apart like a chew toy. By the time it was through with the dog there wasn't anything to even give you a clue the prey had been a dog. It was a huge bloodbath. That had been the most terrifying thing she had seen. Actually, the second. The first... was her mother's death. [/size][/blockquote][/blockquote]

Oblivion On a mountain he sits Not of gold but of sin Through the blood he can look See the life that he took From the council of one He'll decide what he's done With the innocent... The females high pitched squeals came from her hiding place as he waited for her to appear. His large auds perked forwards when he heard her stammer out her frightened words before she fell silent. Deciding against replying to her, Oblivion simply stood there waiting for her to speak again. Moments later, his ebony optics looked down and watched as the odd animal crawled slowly out, her eyes flickering around as she searched for him. The second she realised he stood right infront of her, she let out the same high pitched noise and scuttled back into her hiding place. As a smirk played around his maw, Oblivion fought back the urge to laugh at this unbelievably timid female. Surpisingly though, she managed to stutter out her name, which the great dane caught to be Chardonnay. Odd name for an odd creature. Lowering his head so it was level with the hole, Oblivion peered in at the cowering creature.
"That's an interesting name Chardonnay. My name is Oblivion." He paused for a moment, figuring out what to say next that wouldn't scare her even more, but wouldn't be unlike him.
"Look, I'm not going to hurt you unless you give me a reason to. This is neutral ground, so why don't you just get out of there and face me properly?" His deep voice was slightly teasing, while being serious and with a cold edge to it.
As his large head hung near her body in the hole, it was quite tempting just to drag the creature out. But like he had said, she hadn't given him a reason to harm her. So with that thought, he stood back once more, dragged himself up to full height and stood with those ebony optics watching the hole, waiting for the girl to reappear.

Perhaps she should come out. He had promised twice he wouldn't hurt her. Still... he was so big. Chardonnay was slightly smaller then the average german shepard, but was definately a lot bigger then a red fox. He could crush her with one paw. She shuddered at the thought finding herself backing up more and more. Yet she didn't have any more room to back up so she was just squishing herself against herself and the concrete wall. She didn't have a choice did she? Char sat there a moment huddled in the corner. He could either drag her out or she could come out. She wouldn't be able to wait this one out. Char pressed her smaller frame against the left wall of the hole and slowly slid out. Her belly rubbing against the floor as she crawled a little away from the big brute giving him a wide birth. She didn't run away though which was a very huge thing for the vixen. The fact she laid there and just looked up at him - although she was about four strides away with his legs - was a huge improvement.
Now what? What did he want? He was so big. So dark in colour. His name... Oblivion... he had to be in the Mafia pack. His name just screamed "i'm the devil". So why wasn't he hurting her yet? Why hadn't he torn her little limbs apart? What was he waiting for? Or was he the type that would rather kill a dog through mental torture? Now she was just scaring herself. She was still shaking, her tiny little body clearly able to be seen vibrating, and tiny whimpering sounds could be heard continously leaving her lips. Chardonnay couldn't help it. She felt like this brute was one of those evil scientists coming to poke, prod, and make her do things she didn't understand. They would beat her up if she did it wrong. She didn't want to do it wrong but she didn't understand. Char was always too busy trying to find a place to hide.

Oblivion On a mountain he sits Not of gold but of sin Through the blood he can look See the life that he took From the council of one He'll decide what he's done With the innocent... It must have been several short minutes that the Dane stood there, only metres from the hole as he waited for the creature to reappear. Large auds twitched slightly as they picked up the sounds of the female shuffling around inside her hiding place. What the hell is she doing? Oblivion wondered to himself. The brute slowly dissolved into his own thoughts as he waited slightly unpatiently. A quiet sigh left his maw as images of his past suddenly returned to his conciousness. Why had they appeared? They had no need to, he wasn't even thinking of it when the heart-wrenching pictures appeared. The image was fast and slightly distorted, a young blue great dane, Oblivion? Yes. Blood soaking his fur as his claws tore at the human skin with ease. The little girls screams reverberated around his dark mind. The screams grew stronger before one caught in the humans throat. A strangled noise escaped the girls mouth before her body lay still. The great dane towering over the impossible to recognise mass of flesh. A look of hunger, lust and hatred shadowed his already dark optics...
The powerful image suddenly disappeared as Oblivion was brought back to reality when the fox creature slid out of her hiding place. A lopsided smirk hovered around his maw as he pushed back the delightful memories and focused on the female before him. With one great sweep of his ebony optics, the great dane took in her quivering form as she crawled away and lay several metres away from him. Something behind his eyes went dark, shutting out the natural shine from his eyes as he strode towards the whimpering creature. Just like the rest of the females, she was in season. It certainly toyed with Oblivions mind as he lowered his head to sniff the pretty animal. Circling her slowly, the dane let his cold nose brush against her fur as he moved. Standing to one side of her, he pushed his nose close to her large ears and whispered, "So what brings you here, litte missy? You really are quite tempting, odd for you to be wandering round on your own." His cold but lust-filled words were forceful as he stood close to her.

The feeling of his nose against her fur made her shiver in fear even more. She could feel his eyes examining her as he circled her. Was she his prey? Had she been completely stupid to come out of her hiding place? God, she hoped not. She hoped something bad wasn't about to happen. His nose was against her ear now as he whispered words into her ear. It could almost be seen as young lovers perhaps to an outsider's eye. However his words sent shivers down her spine. Should she admit she was on her own and didn't have a mate or should she pretend she did have a mate and he was near by? She could feel the lust in his voice as well as the coldness. It was probably best she said she had a mate and then run off. Sure, he had bigger legs and would probably out run her with ease. There were holes outside in the ground though that she could squeeze and push herself into if she managed to reach them.
"I like being alone. Your less likely to get hurt when your alone."[/i] She whimpered. Chardonnay clamped her tail down, as a precautionary measure of course, sliding it between her legs so it was between her belly and the concrete floor. That way he couldn't mount her if he got the inclination to do so. At least, he couldn't mount her with ease. Although she had a feeling he wasn't against a bit of rough and tumble force breeding. God, she hoped she was going to be safe. If he wasn't so... well, scary, and she wasn't such a terrified little thing she could probably find something to like about him. Like his big muscular form would make a great protector for her. She was however terrified, and when terrified that was all the animal would feel until it was calmed down. Chardonnay wasn't thinking right now, at least not in a calm and proper way as she wasn't in that kind of state. She wished her mother was there. She could remember nuzzling her mother and rubbing up against her which usually calmed the fox hybrid down. Now she didn't have someone to help calm her, and on her own she ended up scaring herself. Oblivion On a mountain he sits Not of gold but of sin Through the blood he can look See the life that he took From the council of one He'll decide what he's done With the innocent... As he finished speaking, Oblivion continued to move round the female, constantly sniffing her sweet seasonal scent and gorging himself on it. Listening to her frightened words, the dane smirked when he reached her hips and saw her tuck her thick tail beneath her body in an attempt to hide the scent and stop him. A small grin slid onto his dark lips as he continued to sniff around her hips and tail.
"Perhaps that is true Chardonnay, but you don't seem too confident to be on your own. And I'd rethink that last sentence. Being alone is really quite dangerous, especially when another joins you and you find yourself being not quite so... alone." A quiet growl rumbled in his throat at the last word.
Pulling his head away from the female, Oblivion padded over to stand directly infront of her again. After watching her with his dark optics for just a moment, the dane lowered his large body to the concrete and lay facing her. His paws outsretched only inches from hers, he teasingly extended his sharp claws and dragged them along the ground. A high pitched, spine-tingling sound was emitted as he chuckled in amusement. For several minutes they lay in silence as his ebony optics remained locked onto hers; his way of making another feel uncomfortable. Finally he blinked before opening his square maw and letting his lyrics flow from it.
"So gorgeous, are you from a pack? Or a true loner as you suggested." Oblivion was really quite intigued to see if she was from a rival pack, so he sat patiently waiting for her reply.

He was sniffing her hips and tail. Her hips and tail. This was so bad. Very very bad. Char inched forwards on her stomach, trying her best to be subtle about it since she had a feeling that one wrong move would make him do something worse then just sniffing. His words sounded like a threat to her ears causing her to whimper. She should have just stayed in that hole. Sure, he could have just dragged her out but maybe he would have gotten bored and left instead if she had of stayed in there? It was a possibility and a better situation then she was in right now. She pressed her head against the floor closing her eyes firmly shut as she tried to imagine herself anywhere but here. A small shiver of relief flooded through her body as his head and nose left her petit body. Thank god. Then again... if his head wasn't touching her then what part of him would touch her next?
"Please... please don't hurt me."
The fox hybrid whimpered. She opened her eyes and turned her head relieved as she saw him move to stand infront of her. That was definately better. Chardonnay swallowed deeply as he laid down infront of her watching as he stretched out his paws towards her. Her ears flicked back and a shiver shot down her spine however as his claws were dragged across the concrete floor. It made the most horrific sound. What was he trying to do, scare her? She was already scared. Lifting her head up she looked up at him with her doe eyes noticing he was staring at her. He wasn't even blinking. Char couldn't quite understand if he was hitting on her or trying to scare her or do something else entirely. She didn't understand him. Then again, it would be terrifying if she did understand him. Swallowing deeply she tried to find her voice again knowing being silent wasn't an option right now.
"I... I... don't have a pack. I l-l-live on my own."[/i] [/size][/blockquote][/blockquote]

Oblivion On a mountain he sits Not of gold but of sin Through the blood he can look See the life that he took From the council of one He'll decide what he's done With the innocent... When the little female revealed she was a loner, Oblivion was actually a little disappointed. He was looking forward to seeing how much information about the other packs he could get out of her. She seemed like one to spill such things when frightened, which she clearly was right now. The Dane continued to let his ebony optics stare at her for a moment, not even trying to hide that he was doing so. Eventually he spoke.
"That's quite an odd choice considering how timid you appear to be. One would have thought you'd feel happier and perhaps... safer in the company of a pack. Not even the Leeks? Those prancing little hippies, wanting peace, happiness and love." The great dane spat out his words as he spoke of the Leeks, the pack in which he thought she was most suited to. Actually, she could secretly be a brutal killer like himself and was an extremely good actress. How could he believe anything she was saying? He laughed quietly to himself at the thought before returning his gaze back to her interesting coloured fur.
"I however, am from the Mafia pack." The same lopsided smirk played about his dark lips as he spoke before changing the subject. "Might I ask, what breed are you? I find it quite intriguing as I haven't seen another like you in my lifetime." His words were blunt and to the point, but that's all he wanted to say, so why beat about the bush?

"No... no. I can't... I can't do crowds. Other dogs... I get... s-so scared."[/i] Chardonnay stammered, unable to look anywhere but Oblivion's face. Not out of imtimidation but in her mind you had to keep an eye on the threat. As long as you could see the threat you could see what it was doing. That way she could bolt as soon as she needed too. She had already found her exits. She just needed a reason to use them now. It didn't seem however that Oblivion was ready to give her a reason. Surely he didn't enjoy her company? Did he like her? No. He couldn't. It seemed to her it would be against his lifestyle choice - aka being a big mean meanie - to fall for a timid little thing like her. He just wanted to torture her. That had to be it. Right? It couldn't be anything more. Char wouldn't let herself think there was anything more to do with it then that. It just wouldn't be right on so many levels. Besides... she would have to be screwed up to fall for him anyway. At least thats what she told herself. "I-I'm... a hybrid. I-I'm... my mother was a german shepard. M-my father was a red fox."[/i] Char confessed, still stammering. She just couldn't get calm. It seemed like she was going to be terrified for a while. At least until the great dane decided she wasn't worth his company anymore. Ears still back she stared up at him the fear clear in her eyes. He would think she was disgusting now. She knew any dog would. What dog would even want a fox hybrid? She was an outcast. Char knew it and it was just another reason she stayed on her own. No one would want her and she had accepted that. No one would be able to love her. Dog crosses were fine. A mixture of dog breeds. Even dog crosses with wolves were barely accepted. However foxes... No. That just wasn't going to be accepted. At least that was what had been hammered into Chardonnay's mind from birth. She was taught by those scientists she was a freak of nature that would never experience any of those good things in life - like love. [/size][/blockquote][/blockquote]

Oblivion On a mountain he sits Not of gold but of sin Through the blood he can look See the life that he took From the council of one He'll decide what he's done With the innocent... The female stammered out her sentence about why she wasn't in a pack, getting scared around other dogs. Was she really going to live her whole life alone? Considering the part of her personality that she had revealed, she wouldn't last too long alone. With a slight shrug to himself Oblivion noticed she had spoken again, revealing her breed. Half german shepherd, half red fox? How odd. Very unusual for such differing animals to breed. The Dane fought back a smile as he stared into her huge orbs, full of fear. She was so terrified of him? He'd hardly done anything yet, she had no idea what he was capable of. After another long minute of his eyes being locked onto hers, he spoke.
"That's really quite an odd breed. I can't help but wonder how it happened, a red fox and a german shepherd. Really quite an amusing idea." He shrugged again before suddenly lifting himself to his paws, standing at full height. He felt no need to reveal his breed, it was really quite obvious to the even the most dim-witted individual.
For a moment Oblivion stood towering over her, intimidating the creature for the pure hell of it as he continued to watch her. When all of a sudden, he turned round and padded across the concrete back towards the plane. With a single graceful bound, he leapt onto the left wing of the plane before bouncing back onto the roof. Ignoring the creaks and groans of protest from the plane under his weight, he placed his rump on the white metal and sat looking out of the huge doors as the day grew warmer under the midday sun. His mind became consumed with thoughts once more, but one part of it was curious of what the female would do now. Would she run? Or dare to stay. Either would be quite amusing. He loved a little chase.

"I-I was bred and born in a lab. They... the... b-b-bad men put the red fox's ... ... "juices" into my mummy... We only e-escaped when the b-bomb happened."[/i] Char explained staring up into his huge eyes. She watched him as he stood up and then to her shock he walked away from her. Where was he going?! Before she even thought about what she was doing Char padded after him. Her body was still low as she trotted after him. She paused as he jumped onto the wing of the plane. How was she supposed to get up there? She sat on the floor for a moment, whimpering, as she tried to figure a way up there. Wiggling her bottom she leapt up and by some miracle her claws managed to grab a hold onto the edge of the steel wing. However she was hanging there. It was as she was hanging there she realised she had just followed an unfamiliar Mafia male. What the hell was she doing? This was... not like her. She would have run every other time. Why hadn't she run this time? Why was she hanging off the wing of a plane just to be close to this great dane? It didn't make sense. What made this male so different? Then again... he didn't seem so bad. He hadn't hurt her. He hadn't even touched her except when he was sniffing her. Besides he knew things about her no one else did. Char had never told anyone else her history before. Then again no one had ever asked. She was determined not to beg him to help her up but she was finding that she was slipping as the seconds passed on. Her claws scraped against the metal, her hips wiggling as she tried her best to get a hind paw onto the wing. This was so hard. If she had longer legs like Oblivion she would be able to get up on this thing. Chardonnay and had never once touched the plane - except for the wheels of course but she had just sniffed them. This was the first time she was touching it and now she could fall off it because she had tried to follow this male. [/size][/blockquote][/blockquote]

Oblivion On a mountain he sits Not of gold but of sin Through the blood he can look See the life that he took From the council of one He'll decide what he's done With the innocent... The Great Dane sat on the roof of the private jet, his ebony optics just staring blankly out at the land that lay outside of the hanger. Odd, random thoughts flickered through his mind as he sat there. How this encounter had made him realise just how lonely he had been all these years. But he was still who he was, nothing would change that. Nothing. He was a brutal killer, a charmer when he wanted to be and had a way with words, that was who he was and he liked it that way. Memories forced their way back to his concious mind. The girls shredded body, the look of success and anger in his own dark eyes, the blood staining his maw, dripping off his glistening teeth, being thrown out of his human home, threatened to be killed, attacking the adult humans, their broken bodies on the floor... Everything came flooding back as he sat there. Surprisingly, Oblivion simply smirked and ran his tongue along his teeth. All the while that the Dane was sitting there, he didn't notice he had been followed by the little female after he had walked away from her.
His auds twitched to the side at the sound of a small whimper followed by a slight movement of the plane. Turning his rectangular head to the side, ebony optics came to rest on the hilarious sight. Chardonnay had followed him and was now attempting to climb up the plane after him. A roar of laughter burst from his maw as he sat watching the girl slipping, her hips and bum wriggling as she attempted to work her way up the wing. Rolling his eyes, Oblivion got to his paws and bounded down onto the wing, letting the plane shake slightly for fun. He came to a stop infront of the female as she whimpered and struggled to get up. A grin upon his maw, the dane lowered his head, opening his jaws as it neared the females neck. His fangs grabbed carefully onto the scruff of Chardonnays neck before heaving her up onto the wing beside him. Lifting his head so he could stand at full height, the fox hybrid still in his mouth, he leapt onto the roof in one swift motion and dropped her onto the metal, from his standing height. A smirk upon his face as he looked down at her, waiting for her to speak.
